From Zanzibar chocolate ice cream with marshmallow ripple to horchata shakes, and red velvet cake, if there ever was a time to overindulge at George’s, summer in Chicago is that time.

"This local ice cream shop is good on so many levels. First off, I have never been more impressed by service than I have been here. My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday evening, and whoever was behind the counter greeted us nicely and immediately offered to give us samples, and kept emphasizing we could try as many flavors as we wanted. He let us take our time, give us some good recommendations, and it was just such a refreshing change from those chain stores where they make you feel bad for holding up the line and start giving you the evil eye if you ask for more than 2 samples . . ."
