Calling the oyster obsessed! Red Door, Bucktown's neighborhood eatery, presents SLURP AND SLUSH, an oyster extravaganza inviting Chicago's most die-hard sea-foodies to hang onto the last taste of summer on their beautiul outdoor patio. 

SLURP: On Sunday September 15th, four of Chicago’s leading chefs—including John Manion of La Sirena Clandestina, Jared Van Camp of Nellcôte & Old Town Social, Brian Jupiter of Frontier, and host chef Troy Graves of Red Door will shuck and prepare fresh Old 1871 oysters, an Atlantic offering that is harvested from the barrier islands of Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay. Each chef will present a personal oyster dish anchored by their own unique culinary twist. In addition, Red Door will present an array of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and ice-cold oysters on the half shell to complement each interpretation.

SLUSH: Bartender Jay Schroeder of Red Door will present guests with handcrafted cocktail slushes including The Malort: a blend of lemon, Benedictine and Angostura, and The Aviation: a classic consisting of London Dry, maraschino, violette, and lemon. In addition, cold cans of PBR and Aperol Spritzers will be hosted.
